By now I guess you've figured out he's one of the favorite authors...
Anyway. This takes place in the future. A looonnng time into the future...
I'm combining all three books: Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras to come maybe later.... (They're great books, you really should read them if you haven't!)
**If you've read the books- great. If not, it doesn't matter. Below is enough information to allow you to get a gasp on everything!
History:
well the us, this time. We're called Rusties, as the large buildings are nothing but rust now, large iron frames outlining the disasters that occurred.
We used bombs, nuclear bombs and stuff to blow each other up. Then some "smart guy" brought on the idea of biological warfare and created this oil-eating bacteria. Once there was no more oil for it to eat in say, a car, it blew up the car because it'd go like nuts. Anyway, the effect was disastrous. Only a couple million survive (not a lot) and recreated everything. The "smart guy" forgot that after killing off his enemies, the bacteria would be unstoppable and attack everyone.
Now:
Welcome to the obsessed world, where everyone at the age of 16 turns from ugly to pretty by operation. It makes you super, super-model gorgeous. Everything is carefree and controlled. No over populations (only two children per parents), no drugs, no random violence, a seemingly perfect world, or is it?
What:
-Uglies-
Are people who are us. They are people without surgery. You can tell what heritage or race they are.
-Pretties-
These are the "bubbleheadeed" people who've gone "under the knife" or had the operation for perfection. They live in Pretty Town where there's non-stop parties and fun.
-Specials-
They are people who are the..."enforcers" of the law in the Cities. They're kinda secret. Their leader? Dr.Cable. A fierce beautifully wicked woman. They undergo Special Surgery. It heightens their senses, speed, agility and makes them dangerously, scary beautiful. They have sharp eyes, hard nails, acute senses and razor teeth, filed to pinpoints.
They're looking for a place called Smoke. It's a hideaway camp for rebel and runaway Uglies.
You'll learn more about what this is as we go.
Terms:
- Rusties (see above)
- Bubbleheads- air-headed people...
- randoms- usually used on uglies; uglies are random and spontaneous in many ways...
- vision wrecking- getting blinded by something bright, lose of vision
- brain hurting- (get it by now?)
- icy- like saying "cool". "Stay cool" instead "stay icy"
Technology:
- hoverboards- like skateboards, but they well, hover! They use magnets to float. Without a source of metal they fall like rocks. Riders wear crash bracelets that are like magnets that catch the metal so you don’t fall off and die.
- hoverboards (only used by Specials)- they don’t need magnets. They use lifting fans like a helicopter, so they’re not restricted to metal grids (that are under the cities)
- hovercrafts- just like hoverboards; uses magnets and metal to fly, except it’s about the size a car.
- “hole in the wall” you throw anything away in it and it’ll recycle everything that’s needed
- wall screen- like a computer screen on your wall, the size of an overhead projector. It’s a voice activated thing usually.
- eye screen (only used by Specials)- same thing as a wall screen, but it’s on your eye…kinda weird.
- sneak suits (only used by Specials)- black suits that use a high tech camouflage. They can morph color, texture, ect to make someone blend into their surrounds. So well that it’s like being invisible!
- skitennas (only used by Specials)- it’s like a walkie-talkie, except a lot smaller. You can speak into them back and forth. There’s a microphone installed in your tooth picks up your voice, and a ear piece that you wear in your ear to hear the person.
- purifier- used in outdoor, camping situations. It’s well, a purifier for water as well as a mini stove. It can boil water as well as purify it, so food can be made.

Chooose what you want to be, an ugly,pretty or special. You're allowed to go through phases and stuff; say from ugly to pretty. Spread yourselves out though!
As you probably all know, for book or movie rps, you never take the entire character. You take traits, or maybe personality or apperance, or plot skims, but not the entire character.
For this rp, I'd like to stay away from the secondary characters that were found in the book. It's alright if you use them, but remember not everything. You're welcome to make a new character as well....Thanks. Have questions let me know.
