Welcome to the New World. This rp takes place in the way future.
History:
The Global Wars
These were the wars run by terrorism to biowarfare. Earth itself almost blew itself up, destroying over half of the world's population. The environment, so greatly effected, almost put the topping on the cake for the human race, but one smart intellect, Juvnik Young, brought about the turning of the New World Revolution.
New World Revolution
An entire global reformation occurred, all because of Juvnik Young. His writings were made law, and slowly (hundreds of years slowly) the balance came back. Like the stories of the Bible, the New World Revolution was like a flood. A mass purge of the evils of the world, a new start.
NOW
The world is the perfect Utopia. There's no violence, there's no random hatred or fighting. People are environmentally aware and friendly. The governments are all perfect, running smoothly like a well-oiled machine. The Demonic Ages (as that's what they were names) still hangs over the shoulders of the people today.
There's one huge society that connects every country, every government. It's called the New World Nations (NWN). They set the international standards and have the final say.
This does sound like Utopia, right? Everything should be perfect. Well it has since the end of the Demonic Ages which officially ended about 500 years ago. The world has come a long way from those times, but a new change is in the air. Change is coming, for better or worse, and this New World is about to take a new turn.
People, rebels, as called by the global governments, or reformers and activists plan for the fall of the New World. They want freedom, they want their basic rights which have all but been taken away from them. They want the return of the 21 century. These people have taken on the name, Rebel Underground Network (RUN). Another famous term for them is Underground.
Rules and Laws of the New World:
- Only two offspring per couple, all others will be aborted immediately (prevention of overpopulation)
- All such technology as in guns, bombs and missiles has been wiped off the face of the planet. No random killings...
- No more religion. Religion and other cults have diminished to nothing. People have learned that religion has been a major pushing cause for the bloodshed in the Demonic Ages. So any new forms of thinking, especially about some sort of higher being(s) are crushed before it can get anywhere.
- The basic rights of freedom of speech, press are limited. There is no religion at all.
- The government is allowed to perform unreasonable search and seizures, as they say it’s for the international safety.
- The general population has little or no say in government
- Though it’s rare, cruel and unusual punishment is allowed under strict circumstances
What's going to happen: we're all going to take on the parts of people who are either, working in the government, general population, or apart of the Rebel Underground Network. And we'll see how it goes from there!
