In that instant Kasta flew by Elliot and Dedelean. She stopped short as she passed. Elliot noted the tense look in Kasta's eyes and was immediately wary. "What's wrong?" "Have you seen Lorn?" she pleaded, hoping. "No... I thought--" "Well you thought wrong!" Kasta snarled. "I can't find him anywhere. Mech said he just got up an left!" She shook her head and turned and ran. Elliot looked at Dedelean. "Do you think we should follow?"

"Well, I'm still hungry, I'm still tired, she's still scary, and I don't know who this Lorn person is, or maybe I do and I forgot his name. Ether way... she looked really upset and I think we should follow her," Dedelean said, taking Elliot's hand. "Sure," he called. He did not think it was a good idea. Everything besides bed and food was something he looked up to.

Kasta wrung her hands with worry. There was an old woman who sat in the large, cushioned chair as Kasta entered the room. "I need to know what you can See," she demanded without pretense. The blind woman looked up at her. "See?" she said with a smile. "I see nothing." Kasta's harsh glare was lost on the blind woman. "Don't play games with me," she snarled. "See with your Grace. What does your Grace see?!" The woman slowly got up from her chair. She was small and thin; waif like with white hair. Her Graceling eyes were strange in themselves, as one was pure black and the other entirely white. "I See many of your troubles, young Kasta," she said, walking over to the fireplace and putting another log onto the fire. "Troubles?" Kasta scoffed. "That's the say the least. I need to know if you can tell me where Lorn is," Kasta said, her voice lowering. The woman turned her blind eyes on Kasta with an unblinking stare that would unnerve most people. She stared back. "Please..." Kasta finally added, pleading. "I See many things... Lorn walks a shadowed path to fight the Master with his own valiant yet foolish reasons." Kasta stood to go, but she continued. "You can not stop it. You may try, but I will tell you that you will fail. Put your efforts to something else. They come."
(copied from a previous post) Levia looked down at Peter with narrowed eyes. "What do you want?!" she hissed. "Get--" "Over to your group," the Master interrupted, his black and red Graceling eyes watching Peter with measured stillness. Levia looked surprised, but didn't say anything. She bowed her head in acknowledgment, as the Master turned and left. Peter gave her a smug smile. "What are you looking at?" Levia snarled. "You heard the Master. To your post!" Peter turned to see Elyssa watching them, her strange grey un-Graced eyes flashing. She didn't say a word. "You're leaving then." It wasn't a question. "I had wanted to show you something," she said, with almost a child-like pout. "Sorry," Peter mumbled. Elyssa followed him, keeping pace as he walked. He could feel her heavy gaze. "Dedelean." Peter stopped. "What!?!" "Dedelean..." she paused. "And what of your friend? Isacc?" she said. He felt as if she'd punched him. "You hold your love for him more than that of the Master," she said, her voice a whisper. That too wasn't a question. "No... my loyalty to the Master is unquestioned!" Peter said, swelling with indignation. It was true. "Of course it is," Elyssa said, mysteriously. "Yet you still defy the Master. If you go with the others and attack Druet, you will test your loyalty to the Master, but you may not break free." Peter frowned. Whatever Elyssa said was true, wasn't it? She'd told him that she was a truth teller. "It's worth a shot." "Ask if it is worth losing your friend, for he cares more for the Master than personal freedom. Go to Druet, and lose him..." Elyssa looked at him with an intense stare. "I never lie."

Dedelean announced with happiness that she saw Kasta. "Kasta!" she yelled, hoping to make her stop. Kasta turned in one swift moment and glared at Dedelean and Elliot before deciding to walk on. "Kasta!" Elliot called, running up to her and jumping in front of her. "What is happening? You are being all kinds of secretive and it's truly freaking me out!"
Peter shrugged. "What do you suggest? That I should stay here and do nothing, for if I go I will lose Isaac. I don't understand..."

Kasta stopped abruptly. Dedelean could see that she was shaking. "Lorn. He's gone..." she said, her voice cracking. "Gone... And she says that if I go after him I will not find him!" She looked at Elliot. For the first time, she didn't know what to do. Lorn had been the friend always there. When her uncle used to force into his business as his iron fist, Lorn had been there. Now where was he? And what were the plans of the Master? Mila had only alluded to them! Kasta almost screamed in frustration and worry. She looked at Elliot and Dedelean before admitting quietly, "I don't know what to do."
Elyssa looked at Peter with her strange, unnerving smile. "Is anything ever really understood?" she said. Peter glared at her. "Stop talking to me in riddles!" he said, angry. "I speak not riddles, but truths," Elyssa replied. "Well speak the blunt truth! Stop twisting your words!" Elyssa smiled. "If only I could speak with the confidence that one should, where I not to carry my Grace. Call it what you may." Peter sighed. "What should I do?" "Do what you must. The Master grows stronger, and is patient. Patience can be almost as lethal a weapon as any Grace. If you go, Issac will stay. The city awaits." "And if I go? What could I even do? I know nothing." "Know? What is not to know? There is information everywhere. Even in the walls of such an ancient city as Druet. There is truth in why Druet is what it is." Elyssa laughed again, as she danced away. "History holds many answers."
