(um. ok. How many random vampires can there be? XD Aleron is really one of the only vampires in the area-the campus area. He lives off campus, but right in the town, and has lived there for quite some time. At other times, he's pretended to be a student there too. That's kinda his territory, so most other vampires, unless they're really young/weak don't invade much... >.>
But ok... Do you want to just say that Lauren is just with some random guy? idk... lol)

Aleron leaned back, keeping his face cool, but with an air of abhorrence. "Yes, such a fine evening..." Aleron said, his eyes dark. He kept himself ready, should Dexter attack. He could see the syringe hidden behind. He also noted the gun under Dexter's coat. He would be ready though if something went wrong; he had his own weapons that weren't made by the human hand. He hated the use of such weapons almost as much as he hated the lethal Solaris weapons of the Kriivida. Aleron watched as people walked by, taking, laughing, oblivious to the darker world that lay so close. He could hear college students having their party in the house. There were too many people, should this man choose to attack. Besides, his face was already circulating around the campus. Nefara had used her artistic abilities to draw a very accurate depection of him, the "rapist" for the police. Aleron smirked, wondering if this man, this hunter, had seen the news broadcast yet. "Why are you here?" Aleron asked, turning his heavy gaze to Dexter.
Chris didn't have to worry much about witnesses. It was a dark and noisy club. So many couples were making out in corners. It didn't seem much different with him. He made the moment last as long as he could, before sneaking away with her body. He had to see how Chris was getting along. That was the main focus tonight. As Carden made his way through the crowd, he remembered the first few years with his brother. Carden had come to America in search of his brother years ago, but it was such a huge place since the 1700s... It wasn't as easy to find someone who didn't want to be found. Chris was so similar to Aleron, with his scruples and morals. But Carden promised himself that he would change that. Chris wouldn't leave. Not like Aleron had done.

(Okee random guy.. grr lol But makes sense. Tsk tsk tsk... Dexter... Haven't you learned from Harry you never use a gun. Guns make noise, leave evidence. Tsk tsk tsk... (Not in my charactor to use guns))
Dexter smirked. "But if I told you then all the fun would vanish. I like my share of fun as much as you do. You know just as well as I the Passenger that lurks inside us both." He smiled and pointed to him. "You and I." He led his finger back and forth to symbolize the similarities. "We are the exact same. We have something in our heads driving us to kill. But my thirst is satisfied. You will need to wait for your chance." Dexter reached into his jacket next to his gun. He would not use it. Obviously too many witnesses, he would be arrested. His crimes would be found out, and he would be on death row, or worse, on Mr Shocky. But instead he grabbed a peice of gum. "So here we both are, my friend, in the middle of a thousand students all having a good time living the good life. But you and I. We are both inhabited by our darkness. You can hear it, I know, the pulse. The one that beats in every heart here. A thousand drums all beating. Fun isn't it." "Shut your mouth before I do it for you." Aleron smirked. This hunter was strange none-the-less. He even smelled the thick stentch of decay around him. The lives he took, not all of them vampires. Infact very very few, only about two or three. "And how would you so? We're in the middle of a party. Relax and enjoy." Dexter walked back into the crowd and walked to the other side sliding left and right, back and forth until he was relaxing on the calmer side of the party. He waited. He doubted the vampire would follow, but Luck could be on his side. But could he kill without his passenger taking the wheel? He felt nervous for once. What if his Dark Passenger gave up on this hunt. Would it be over for him by the hands of this vampire?

(didn't he have the stun gun when he attacked with Nefara? ) "We are not the same... Not even close..." Aleron had wanted to say. But he'd been listening to that one heartbeat that stood out from all the rest. There was a Kriivida here (hint, Galadas). She, or whoever it was, was bound to be more dangerous than this man... He didn't think that the man knew he never killed people any more. He had given that up a long time ago. Probably before this man was even born. He had to get away. Too dangerous. He would have to kill this hunter. He couldn't afford to keep them alive, as much as he hated to do so....

Cecelia looked around, it was darker than when she came to the party, and she could hardly see a thing. Two figures did caught her eye, but they were like a blur. Like nothing was happening she walked on, until close and then took a different direction. The two people were much clearer, as were their dark aura's. Should she strike? Not when they were together, to much of a fight.
Chris had bitten the girl before he even noticed, and her body went limb beneath his. She didn't scream, it went too fast, her breath was lost too fast. He could only feel redemption, not fear, or compassion for his victim. He opened his eyes, licking the edges of his lip. He sat back on his place, looking over his mess. It didn't take long before he realized what he had done, and he was trapped in that moment. "I did that." He whispered to himself. "I am that monster." He closed his eyes, a few tears fell his cheek, and he hoped that someone would get him out of it, out of his dark hole, out of that moment of darkness.

(It was a tranquilizer gun used for possums but he used it on you.)
Dexter felt a slight playful chuckle. He waited for his dark friend. He hoped he showed up. Tonight would not be fun without him.
Laura soon entered the club with the man. It was pretty dark, and the music was quite loud. All around were gothic looking people and the dark blood red walls of the club and the black iron-work gave it away as a dark place. She felt a chill but followed the man. She was scared and felt like she was so vulnerable outside. Without Nefara she felt alone. She tried to fill the gap. She felt the music split into her ears filling them with a dark echo. It was heavy metal but tonned down, you could tell... Most likely noise complaints. She felt a little better and went to the bar. The guy ordered them both a shot. He smirked at her and she felt a bit threatened. Why did she even come here? She felt stupid. She looked around and then made her way into the crowd. The guy tried to follow but she moved away and ditched him. She took a seat in the corner of the large basement-like room and sat there quietly. She looked around seeing a guy necking a girl. She was limp. But Lauren barely paid attention to it until he licked his lips. (Hint Hint) She paused slightly then tilted her head away when he looked up. She felt faint.

(vampires and others of the supernatural really aren't effected by human-made chemicals or weapons... Dexter could be using a chemical made by the Kriivida, which is really the only known weapon to lethally harm a vampire)
Carden walked up besides Chris. He frowned, seeing him distraught. Bending down, Carden whispered. "Does it not fill your soul with life?" he said, eyes gleaming. He drew a finger through the blood that still trickled down. "Is it not the most delicious thing you've ever tasted?" Chris swallowed, as he gazed down at the lifeless girl, still cradled in his arms. He shifted her, to cover her open neck. "It does...but--" "But what?" Carden interrupted, "Why grieve for life that was yours to take? Why shake your head in shame at your meal. Look at them nothing more than necessary to your own survival. The more you take, the stronger you become! Remember that train? Why not stop it in it's path with a simple thought instead of getting smashes to a pulp and having to spend energy to rebuild?" Carden said with a chuckle. "Come away quickly. There is a girl who is watching--ah! don't look now. Feel with your mind, your senses. That will be you ally. Secrecy is always first. Once you are sure, you may have fun. My girl is hidden out back. I will show you a trick. It always does it for the humans, naive as most are..." Chris stood, holding the girl easily, as if she might have been a little drunk. Together Chris and Carden walked out.
Lauren watched, shocked. Had she really seen what she thought she had? Was that girl bleeding? Had that young man just bitten her? In such a public place? She looked around to see if anyone else had noticed...
Aleron hated games. He hated many things too, but he never played games. Not if he had to. And he knew when he was being played. This hunter was toying with him. There was no doubt in his mind what his true intentions were. Aleron had to end it now... But he was weak. He was undoubtedly stronger than any human, but against someone on par...a well skilled Kriivida, or perhaps even this weird hunter, then the odds of him winning unscathed was unlikely. Like his brother would've said, taking human blood would fix all his problems, but for him, it'd only create them. He was able to stay in one spot for so long because he refused to do so. He could very well fight and die. Being immortal never meant living for eternity. He didn't know any other vampire that was older than he was. It was hard to live this long, though others might disagree. He closed his eyes, thinking. What about Nefara? She was probably asleep back at the hospital. She needed to know her story; the truth. That meant he had to at least live another to see another night. His little friend would have to wait. He could feel Dexter's eyes on him, probing, waiting. Sorry, but a departure may be at hand. There are...more important matters to attend... Aleron said, smirking. He felt Dexter's mental walls go up, but Aleron easily broke them aside, sending his message to Dexter. Dexter frowned, almost sneering. Aleron barred his teeth, with a silent smile, as he backed into the shadows before disappearing. A crow fluttered out of the trees with a cry, making all turn to watch as it sailed away.
Nefara tossed in her bed, her eyes moving underneath her lids. Her dreams got more confusing and disorganized from there. Darkness, blood, flashes of light. Pain, disorientation. There were screams, calls. It was like a film reel that had been messed with, and was being played really fast, backwards! She saw faces. Some she recognized, others she didn't. Aleron was there. He was in so many of her dreams. There was his brother, Carden. Her mother, Elvira... There were other vampires, but none she'd ever met. There were hunters. Over a hundred years of information flashed before her eyes...

(You use Chris a lot instead of saying "Carden", :3 it's funny to see. )
Cecelia cursed when she saw the Vampire leave in front of her eyes, she was too slow. She grabbed her knife and jumped down on the bench besides the Hunter, keeping the knife to his throat. "Why did you talk to him?" She snapped.
Chris sighed, happy that it was all over, now the big trick of disappearing, and he could finally live with himself again. He hoped that with the help of Carden he could find out about his past, about what he forgot. He followed the Vampire, Carden, who he also wanted to know a few more things about, until now he only knew that the man probably wanted to help him. But who was he? How old was he? Where did he came from? And most of all. How did he find him? He would save them for later, this was a moment for him to learn about living as a Vampire, living with the curse rather than trying to hide it. In the last few hours his life had felt so much easier than it had in his whole life span.

(opps... sorry. In a few spots I had meant to say Carden. Wasn't thinking lol) Carden lead Chris deeper into the darkness, away from the lights, away from the people. "Wait a moment," he said. Disappearing for a moment, flitting away, before reappearing with the pale body of a girl. "Humans are afraid of what they do not know, and try to stay ignorant, weather they want to or not. It's hard to see past their reality..." Carden said, lying the girl down. "But they do think. They do process and learn. But we can adapt. You must be able to adapt in order to survive..." He stood, thinking. "What do you wish this to be? A mugging? A rape? A car accident? Some catastrophic incident that mutilated this girl's body... This is what the humans will take her cause of death as." Chris shrugged, feeling his stomach churn. Carden talked so bluntly, without any emotion, except for the laughing humor in his smile. He didn't bother hiding his teeth. "You choose..." "Very well. A violent mugging, that turned rather down..." Carden said. "Now, I want you to do as I've done. Picture how you might want the scene. Two 'innocent girls' having been mugged and left for dead, having died from blood loss..." "Sounds possible..." Chris murmmered. "Exactly! That's why we're doing it. I think you're ready for this. Destroy the evidence. Break bone, cut, whatever you please. Make it look like she was mugged.... Then we can continue on. I have much else to show you, and the night is so young!" Carden exclaimed, as he easily did the bloody task of 'destroying the evidence'.

Dexter smirked. Good posture, proper angle upon the blade, but there were witnesses. It would be very bloody if she tried. He snapped his arm up, grabbing the wrist and twisting ehr cetner of gravity to shove the blade deep into the wall. "It is not very pleasant for me to be threatened." He grabbed the stun gun and armed it. "Now unless you want half a million volts in your chest lets talk this out." He said calm and collected. Why Hello there Dexter, what you up to... Nothing much, just teaching someone mannors. He smiled to himself and watched her motion as she pulled the knife back out and sheathed it. She stepped closer. "So why did you talk to him. Who are you anyways." Dexter smiled, he thought quickly, she would not have really heard their conversation. But facts still needed to be put into order. "He was angry that I bumped into him the day before. So I walked away before the fight was started." She looked at him like he was an idiot. Why of course there Dexter, you nearly killed her within a second with your Sambo. That would have been glorious with the beautiful red streaks of blood. But not everyone here thinks the same. He placed the stun gun back into his pocket. He looked into her eyes. The Dark Passenger snarled. She was a killer, the graceful kind, a warrior of the darkness. He felt the magic blossoming under her skin. The deep pools of her eyes felt strange. But no matter, maybe if he was human he would have seen her as attractive but humans have emotions, no... He was a monster, like the vampires, the hunger drew deep in him slowly growing like a fauset left on with a clogged drain. The clog only released with the pleasureful sensation of killing those who deserved it. He remembered the night before. The careful cuts, the precision. It excited him and his Passenger smiled and went back to its lair. She snapped her fingers. "So who the hell are you then!" She shouted. So un-nessisary. He cleaned out his ears in protestful sarcasm. "If I would tell you, then it ruins the fun of you finding out. But as for me. I have work tomorrow. Sorry ma'am, Jusqu'à ce que nous rencontrons encore..." He said in french just to see how she reacted. Until we meet again... He turned to go away looking to his car just behind her about a hundred yards. But that would give him away. He looked towards the crowd about to step away.
Lauren covered her mouth and felt like crying. The girl was dead. She saw the blood. But what could she do... She got up. She would not let this go. She followed the men stumbling slightly with her shoes. She had to do something. She followed them down a dark alleyway. She could not let it go for some reason. The back of her mind said "RUN!" but her feet kept moving. She peered around the corner and saw the both of them with the two limp lifeless girls on the ground. She held back a muffled scream. Her heart pounded violently.

Chris watched, Carden was doing one hell of a job that he figured his association wasn't needed anymore. He turned his head a bit, just to check out the surroundings, he wasn't in touch with this new thing yet. He could not sense someone watching him, or anything else that Carden had been talking about. But he did notice a sound coming from around the corner (hint, Dark). He turned around completely and flittered towards the sound, appearing behind some girl that was standing there, shaking on her legs. And she gasped when she looked around the corner again, not having noticed that he was standing behind her. He was surprised from his amazing speed, and that he could perfectly hear her heart from so close. "Hello, there." He said. She turned around, frightened.
Cecelia shook her head. "Sure you have." She said, and ran off. She would meet him again, soon, and then she hoped not to be alone, and kill that... monster.

Carden turned, sauntering over like a wolf. "Ah... What do we have here?" He said, as Chris grabbed Lauren's shoulders. She tried to wiggle away, but Chris' grip tightened, like an iron brace. Her eyes were so wide with fear, that he could see the whites. "Come to join the fun?" he said, sliding a cool finger down her neck. He felt her shiver. "Va...vam...---" "What? Vampire?" Carden said. Looking at Chris, he smiled. "See, what blood does? It invigirated you, makes you so much more than you would be. Your speed has improved... With time your potential will grow." He paused, returning his black gaze to Lauren. "What is your name?" She said nothing. "Awe, come on. I won't bite..." Carden joked, flashing his teeth. Lauren paled. "My... My name is... Lauren..." she stammered. "See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?" Carden said. Standing upright, he pursed his lips. "Chris, this will be the most perfect lesson..." (I just got a great idea! Sorry, Dark. Try to go along with it for a bit. This could be the perfect event that can get things really going... Just follow my lead for a while ;D) "What?" Chris asked. "Here, let me see her." As soon as Chris release Lauren, jumped away to sprint off. Carden flitted almost instantaneously before her. "Ah, ah! Running away isn't good..." Carden reprimanded, as he wrapped a strong arm around her. She struggled, but it was like trying to break steel. Impossible. "That's a girl... Relax..." Carden said, as Chris followed, curious. "Please... don't hurt me!" Lauren said, crying. She was almost hysterical. The two bodies, up close now, looked just like her best friend. Broken, bloodied, mutilated. "I can't make promises..." Carden said. In one swift motion, he had shifted Lauren in his arms, pulling her head back to expose her throat. Swinging her around, he easily sank his teeth into her exposed neck. Lauren screamed, her struggles renewed. They did little to perturb Carden as he bent over her. She finally fell limp, so that Carden had to support her weight. He ran his tongue over his teeth as he stood back up. "She'll bleed to death," Chris said, frowning. He hadn't expected Carden to do that. Why kill another girl, two in one night? "No. She won't. She didn't lose much blood at all..." Carden said, as he licked the last of the blood away. Lauren moaned in his arms. "With a thought you can close the wound you've created. I was going to show you another night, but why not now?" Carden said with a laugh. "See?" Chris came over. Lauren's neck was almost the same, like she'd never been bitten, except for what seemed to be thin white scar. "Woah. But what happens when she wakes?" "She'll probably have a wicked headache, to say the least..." Carden said. "It's taken my years to get it that light. With most vampires, it may not even work, and the person bleeds to death... Most other times, you leave red, angry, very obvious marks, which they're so obvious, their better off dead than alive, I say. You can try another time. Next time we hunt." "But what about when she wakes?" Chris said. That seemed to be the most important thing in his mind. "Ever heard of compulsion?" "What?" "Compulsion. Mental manipulation. It's on the same level as flitting, though with age and experience, it will come... I think this something you'll eventually get. Humans, especially humans you've fed off of, are the easiest to control. All you have to do is set a thought in their mind. Like the other trick, it's hard to prefect, although a simple idea. A bad compulsion can lead to failure of our secrecy. That's why it isn't well known about. I'm telling you about it, but I recommend you not try without assistance. The last thing we need is for a human having a dream or remembering something they shouldn't have..." "Ah!" Chris said, excited by all these new possibilities. "How old are you anyway? You sound old. Well not sound, but you seem to know what you're doing..." Chris said with a laugh. "Do you want to guess how old I am?" "Three hundred?" "Older." "Um... Four hundred?" "Older." "Holy crap," Chris said, incredulous. "I've been at this for a while. Over five centuries. Now, I feel her stirring..." Carden said, as Lauren started to come around. She jolted awake, only to have Carden's arms contract around her. "Oh my G-d, holy shit..." she said, her voice cracking. "Lauren, sweet. Look at me..." Carden said, grabbing her chin and making her look into his eyes. Chris watched as Lauren's face went blank, her eyes empty. You don't remember anything. You got drunk at the bar, had way too much to drink. You never saw Chris or I; you never saw the girl's getting killed. Nothing, Carden easily pushed into her head. "Ok. It's getting late.... or well early. Tell me, quiz time..." Carden said with a smirk. "How many hours until dawn?" "Three," Chris answered without hesitation. "You're on your way. Now, lets go and get our little friend back where she needs to be. I think we'll be meeting up again soon with her. She'll make a nice supply for a while..." Carden said with a cruel laugh.

Lauren relaxed and slumped a bit in his arms, her mind making up the fact taht she is drunk. She looked up at Carden and smiled. "Where are we?" She laughed a bit.
Dexter walked off, rounded his trip and entered his car. He drove down the street and heard a small giggle in his mind. He slowed down and stopped. He looked into the dark alley but saw nothing.
Carden and Chris looked down the alley seeing the headlights slow down. They ducked into the edges and blended in. The two dead bodies slumped like piles of garbage. The headlights slowly pulled away and left. Lauren giggled a bit and fell to the ground scraping her arm against the brick side of the building.
Dexter continued onward. It was most likely nothing but he had to prepare again. Make sure they did not get into his house and find his trophies.

Carden lifted Lauren to her feet. "Lets get her home..." "And where would that be?" Chris asked. "North Dorm, room 140... Another trick of mine. I'll show you another time," Carden said with a wink, before flitting off.
Carden put Lauren down on her bed. Go to sleep. Lauren smiled, her face falling, eyes closing. "Well... it was... fun...tonight..." she yawned. "Oh yes, very fun," Carden said, bringing the covers over Lauren. "Will I...see you...again?" "Soon... You are tired. Sleep." Carden said. Chris was waiting outside. "Hmmm. Good..." Lauren said, rolling over. Carden waited until he heard her breathing and heart slow, before he jumped out the window. Landing, he looked to the east. "Better get going. We'll head to my place," Carden said to Chris, as the two flitted off, like shadows before the dawn.
Nefara woke. It was early morning. She felt much better, her head clearer. She remembered the two dreams she had. Her mother. Elvira. Those 'Kriivida' had killed her; at least that is what Aleron called them. She would have to ask who the Kriivida were. She could tell that they had had wanted her. She'd seen herself in the dream as a baby! The doctor came in. "Ah. You're awake.... How do you feel?" "Much better, thank you." "We hoped to evaluate you this morning and let you go. Sound good?" "Excellent."

Chris sat down, closing his eyes. He was powerful now, wasn't he? He gazed at Carden, the Vampire that helped him. "Can I ask a few questions?" He asked, while looking outside, the sun coming up. Carden grinned. "Ask." "Today, before being hit by the train. You asked me who my sire was... I don't know that, but I want to figure out, I want to know who I was."
Cecelia looked outside, happy to see the sun again. Then she glared back at her parent's friends. Two man, one with grey hair, and the younger one from the night before, and a girl around her 40s. They were all gathered here for one simple purpose; kill the Vampire. And now she knew what she needed to know about him. His name was Aleron, he and his brother Carden had been around for centuries. They guessed if he was here, so was he brother. He was a powerful vampire, more powerful than she could imagine, and that was because of his amazing age. She needed to kill him before he would feed, before he would meet up with his brother, who was a serious killer. And then there was the hunter, Jesse, the younger Kriivada, called him Dexter Morgan. He believed him to be a serial killer, and as well as a hunter he could be a serious treat. And last there was the girl called Nefara, but about her Cecelia wasn't allowed to know a thing.
